Inclusive Culture Program
Our Inclusive Culture Program focuses on five diversity groups:
- Indigenous Australians
- people with disability
- multicultural diversity.
Strategies and plans for each diversity group are developed around three key elements to support the achievement of our vision:
- Providing an inclusive and equitable organisational culture
- Providing a flexible and supportive work environment through contemporary HR policy and practice
- Improving representation of target diversity groups.
At Geoscience Australia, our Inclusive Culture Program is informed by our organisational strategic goals, the priorities of our People Strategy, our workforce profile, and the lived experiences of our employees.
Geoscience Australia's Cultural Reference Group, chaired by our CEO, champions change, consults with employees and meets regularly to monitor the implementation of our Inclusive Culture Program.
Geoscience Australia's Inclusive Culture Program is the responsibility of the Director of People and Culture, and is reviewed on an annual basis.
Staff support networks
Geoscience Australia has a number of staff driven networks that provide important informal support networks for employees and are sponsored by our General Manager Corporate. Through their very existence they support our inclusive culture vision by encouraging participation and contribution for events and activities. Our networks include:
